M Theory is great in many ways but still uses the concept of extra Spatial Dimensions...and in a sense is still connected to an intuitive understanding (and an extension) of physical spacetime while the QH Theory delves with non-local vibrations of information in a hypothetical mathematical space not limited to spacetime or to spatial dimensions. These theories seem to have parts of what is needed but seem incompatible although they might be compatible under a much more comprehensive trans theoretical approach.
Technically-speaking, the term "dimension" doesn't refer to a reality or universe, which - for instance - could be a physical-gross, mental-subtle or a spiritual-causal sub-plane or perhaps (in reference to an entire 'realm' or 'domain') could refer to the physical domain of all actual and possible physical-gross universes, the mental domain of all possible and actual mental-subtle universes and the causal causal-spiritual domain of all possible or actual causal-spiritual universes for instance).
Technically-speaking "dimension" would be a factor or parameter necessary for the expresion of the "material" aspects in any particular plan of existence or reality in any domain. Dimensions would have physical characteristic in the physical domain, mental characteristic iun the mental doain and causal-spiritual characteristics in that domain. It would have to transcend a physical understanding when applied to the mental domain, for instance. Thus, the term "material" is not limited to the physical universes considered by M Theory.
But popularly-speaking, the term "dimension" is misused to mean another reality be it physical-gross or mental-subtle or causal- spiritual. For a more comprehensive Meta Theory we would need to distinguish 'dimension' from 'reality' (rather than confound) 'dimension' with 'reality'.
I understand that "Earth" is not only part of the physical universe we normally experience but also of other levels of reality...in fact, multiple levels of reality within the Physical, Mental and Causal domains. Regarding this, I don' think that the Quantum Hologram Theory is comoprehensive enough to include non-physical information patterns and corresponding non-physical realities and objects. So the QH wouldn't do. Then again, M Theory also seems to be limited to physical universes and seems compatible with the Many Worlds Interpretation, perhaps as an extension thereof. But here, even spatially extended higher dimensional "branes" may be thought of as "physical."
On the other hand, the word "dimension" is understood in popular metaphysics as our reality or as "another (physical or non-physical) reality" and is not technically correct to assign this word to that concept..unless one knows that for convenience's sake that is what one is doing.
Here we are treading on new ground and we need better terms. I like the word "transdimensional" a little bit because it also entails a deeper connectivity among dimensions (considered as different physical and/or non-physical realities). Dr. Steven Greer uses it and he refers to the conneciton between the physical and non-physical (he calls it "astral") domains. And that is the correct idea but - again - the use of the term "dimension" (however easy) is deceiving and innacurate. I'm experimenting with the term "transreality" because it is about recognizing that different realities exist and "trans" is also about a deeper pattern that connects different levels and types of realities (physical, mental, causal-spiritual). Since "different realities" can both be physical and non-physical, perhaps, "Trans Reality Earth" ( or "trans reality Earth") will do.
I think that the term "dimension" meant as a parameter of the shared experiential exteriors of any type of reality can both be physical and non physical (physical, subtle and causal in Vedanta terms). In orthodox science, however, it normally refers to a physical parameter. They haven't come around to attempting to explain the Subtle or Mental realm or domain in its own terms...with dimensions having non-physical characteristics that apply to it. However, I do use "dimension" within and beyond physical connotations and as applicable to all kinds of realities.

That said, the Quantum Hologram Theory also involves informational aspects in a non spacetime alternative mathematical space. It is a move forward to include mental qualities due to the possibility of almost including the qualitative as "information" about actually perceived objects, probable objects and memory but it is still framed within the realm of physical existence...by means of a quantum-based extension. Unfortunately, as far as I known, it is also lacking the retrocausal aspects allowed by quantum realtivistic physics as in the Klein-Gordon Equation. Moreover, stress is not given to the primacy of Consciousness (as Absolute non-dual Consciousness and ontological Reality) and it is either said that consciousness (notice the lower case "c") is produced by the quantum hologram mechanism and/or that a physical way for consciousness and memory to be communicated and be physically effective is found. So, it is a work in progress.
On the other hand, as I tried to say in the previous e mail, M Theory doesn't focus on consciousness and meaningful information as much.
In my very incipient model, quantum probabilities are an aspect of an in-between, membrane-like state located between the classical physical realm and the Subtle mental realm (sometimes refered-to as the "astral" realm as a whole or as the closest to a physical universe sub-regions). These probabilities would be an aspect of what can be called (following some well-known esoteric traditions), the "ether" or "etheric"...a medium between the physical and mental astral. The information realm related to the Quantum Hologram theory would reflect this. Other aspects of this intermediate state would allow ectoplasmic materializations to occur and also serve some "transdimensional" extraterrestrials (in Steven Grerr's use of the term) to utilize subtle-mental-astral energy patterns to generate non-local physical effects on a macroscopic scale.
